Here at TAG we operate mainly on the kind donations of the public and receive very little funding from other sources, if it wasn’t for the generosity of supporters like you, we wouldn’t exist.
Whatever way or amount you decide to give, your kind donation will help us to care for cats in need.
Here is a break-down of what it costs to look after a cat at TAG:
It costs £30 per cat per month to provide: food, warmth, a clean and homely environment, toys and grooming materials
The biggest expense is veterinary care. The standard cost for a healthy cat to make sure they are fit, healthy and ready for re-homing is £131.90 per cat. This is made up of the following:
- Consultation fee: £20.96
- First vaccination: £26.60
- Second vaccination: £26.60
- Neutering: £43.74
- Microchip: £5
- Flea treatment: £5
- Wormer: £4
Many cats require further treatment such as blood tests, dentals, dematting or other surgery. The cost quickly escalates to several hundred pounds per cat but is essential for ensuring they have happy, healthy futures.
