Fostering a cat

Why foster?

Life-Saving Impact: Fostering saves lives. By opening your home to a foster cat, you're providing them with a safe and loving environment, which significantly increases their chances of being adopted into a forever home.

Flexibility: Fostering allows you to make a difference in the lives of cats without the long-term commitment of pet ownership. Whether you can foster for a few weeks, months, or longer, your contribution is invaluable in helping us care for cats until they find permanent homes.

Personal Fulfillment: Fostering a cat can be an incredibly rewarding experience. The joy of seeing your foster cat thrive, knowing you played a crucial role in their journey to finding a loving home, is unmatched.

Fostering a cat

Many of our cats require a loving foster home, on either a short term or permanent basis. This could be a pregnant cat that needs a peaceful, safe environment to give birth and raise their kittens, kittens that need to grow up used to all the sights, sounds and smells of a home, a cat that doesn’t cope well in a cattery environment, or a cat with on-going health problems.

For temporary fostering, we cover the cost of all veterinary care and supplies and can give you any equipment you might need. For permanent fostering we generally cover the cost of all veterinary care relating to the existing condition.
